As a member of the Board of Directors (Board), Washington, DC Region, Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), I agree to the following:

To work cooperatively with the other Board members in the conduct of the Region’s business.
To treat my fellow Board members with respect.
To disclose below any direct or indirect business interests which have the potential to create a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest, because of my membership on the Board.

o A direct business interest is one where the Board member is paid by the Region for a service the Board member provides the Region.
o An indirect business interest is one where the Board member owns or has an interest in a business that benefits from the conduct of a Region event.

To not introduce any motion that because of my direct or indirect business interest could create a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest.
To not vote on any motion that because of my direct or indirect business interest could create a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest.
To not otherwise use my official position for personal gain.
To not serve as an owner, member of a governing body or officer of an organization whose events or activities directly compete with the Region’s or SCCA’s events or activities.
To not disclose information discussed in executive session or otherwise determined to be private to the Board of Directors.

I also agree that failure to comply with this code of conduct and ethics can be considered as grounds for removal under Section 6, Article IV of the Bylaws of the Washington DC Region.
