The Washington DC Region HPDE Instructor Clinic and HPDE/TT scheduled for March 28th & 29th has been canceled.  We often say that we came for the cars but stayed for the people, and it is our concerns for those people that make this necessary.  Summit Point Motorsports Park has announced that they are suspending all events until at least the 1st of April.  I am sure this was not an easy decision for them but the Declaration of a National Emergency by the President and a Statewide Emergency Declaration by West Virginia Governor made it necessary.  They join just about every other major racing facility in the country that has closed down during this Medical Crisis. 

You might remember from our Supplemental Instructions that the Entry Fee is not charged to your credit card until after the event.  If you are registered for the March 28/29 event You Will Not Be Charged.  There is no need to contact the registrar to check on a refund. 

As for upcoming events the Region’s HPDE Group at Dominion has an Instructor Clinic and Intermediate/Advanced HPDE scheduled for April 11th.  There is a 2-day HPDE/TT scheduled for the Summit Point Circuit on May 2nd & 3rd.  Information for both events can be found at https://www.wdcr-scca.org/hpde.
